This technique in resin art is known as blooming. It's a delicate process that requires all materials to be at specific temperatures. The technique involves dropping white pigment onto alcohol inks and hoping for the desired effect. However, even if the bloom doesn't turn out exactly as you envisioned, you're never disappointed with the final result.
This lazy Susan consists of two separate bloom layers, a glow-in-the-dark back layer, and two top coat layers for a total of 5 layers, making it 3 dimension. You might find yourself mesmerized.
The surface is made from countertop resin that is designed to withstand heat; however, I still recommend avoiding placing anything hot directly on it. The resin has been intentionally faded to ensure that it will not lose its color or background tone over time. The resin circle is completely encased in resin and securely attached to the top of the wooden lazy Susan.
The manufacturer of the resin guarantees that it will not yellow and is scratch-resistant. While I trust that it won't yellow, daily use may still result in some minor scratches, which can be easily removed using a plastic or fiberglass polishing lotion.
